^^^I just wanted to see some tests on it, if it doesn't make more peak power but increases my spool and midrange by a good bit I might consider it, im sure no one has any graphs though.

Interest thread. I currently have a 02 housing on my Fp green, would there be any significant gain if I switch to a o2 dump?

OP: You won't gain more than a few HP when switching to a 3" from a 2.5". Not a very great bang for the buck mod there.

There are definitely gains to be had with a divorced wastegate o2 dump, even when swapping from an aftermarket recirculated dump.

If you're in the market for one, we're currently running a promo on the Muse Motorsports o2 External Dumps

::Off Topic:: Pretty sure Shearer still makes their O2 dump housing, because I just recieved mine about 3 weeks ago. Now I dont know if they had some made sitting on the shelf and are selling the rest of their stock, but I was told by Ron it was a Shearer Fab O2 housing.

::On Topic:: I have currently on my car an EPM O2 dump housing. While it makes power, it fit like junk, and I had extensive conversation with them about which LICP I had and which version of their housing I needed blah blah blah. This is why I'm trying the Shearer unit now to see if it fits better.

Sean I think you will make some more power and better spool IMO

Tiago or anyone else, do you guys have any tests at all that can prove if the 3" makes or doesnt make more power than the 2.5"? I'm just thinking about Mikey's set-up, he's always had the 3" dump and Im pretty sure its not hurting him, then again I don't really want to spend $500+ for 5whp and 6tq.

I should have reworded that. I didn't mean it wouldn't make any more power, it's the just that the gains are marginal. You'd be doing exactly that, spending $500 for 3-5whp.

I'll try to find the post where I saw someone do a VD comparison of a 2.5" EPL vs the Map 3".

aka.ralliart15: Is the wastegate bypass port in your turbine housing totally radiused and ported? I would look there first. Just a thought.

I am actually doing that soon, Im sending it out to MAP to port in a couple days/weeks. I know that would be a reason too thats why I am trying to tackle every possibility.

Ok guys, I think we are going to see if the switch from 2.5" to 3" makes a difference. I decided to get the 3" 02 Dump + Downpipe from EPM in the next couple days. I'm really curious to see how it works compared to a regular 02 dump. Hopefully it will have great gains so other people can benefit from it too. I'll be doing the test on VD because I don't have a Dynojet near me. I'm going to try to keep all the factors the same(boost, AFR, Timing, weather) so I can have a fair test for everyone.
