To all the evom gurus

Not sure if this is the correct section. If not, please move

I have a question in regards to fuel supply for evo's.
I know once you start getting up there in power a double pumper is required, specially with E85.

I had ordered a blaqops double pumper and noticed that the pump that came with it was not an ordinary 255 walbro. The part number stamped to the side comes up as a Ford GT supercar fuel pump. I have seen these cars push close to 900hp on a single stock fuel pump when they go the twin turbo route.

Would it be possible to just run one single Ford GT pump instead of doing the double pumper? It would lower cost by a lot since these pumps can be ordered from the dealer for around 90$

Doing a little research I came across a thread on the GT pumps.
Stated that (not sure if this is accurate) at 43.5 a walbro will flow 255lph.
A GT pump at 43.5 psi will flow 429lph at 12.6V. Thats a huge difference.
If any of that is accurate, it would make for a great alternative for high priced double pump kits.

The GT pump is a little shorter and "chubbier" compared to my regular 255 but looks the same otherwise. I am currently running one as the secondary pump with ZERO issues so I assume we could actually just run a single GT pump.

So thats just something that has been on my mind lately. If anyone has any info on this, go ahead and share.

Part number for the GT pump is 4G7V-9350-CA. I really have no clue where to look to find more info on this besides what comes up on google.

Edit: found another part number 4G7Z-9A407-CA

Any idea what it flows at 80 psi? The biggest issue I can see with this is it will overrun the stock FPR for sure at idle and cruising speeds.

really? hmm. I have seen them on sites for around 90$ and have read numerous threads on mustang forums of people buying them for around that much. ill try to find those links.

did you also try the other part number? any clue what that is? i think one is the hanger and pump while the other is just the pump? might be wrong on that though.

but if there was enough interest, im sure we could come up with a solution for that.
I have no clue on what it would flow at 80psi. i have base press at 43psi and run 30psi boost at wot. my fuel gauge reads to 90psi and it completely pegs it out. dont know if thats useful or not but its all i got. and thats with an ordinary walbro that i bought 5 years ago as primary and the ford gt pump secondary. it receives full power at 13 psi
