Misfiring Issue I Searched.

Well I have an evo 8 with a ETS HTA86 kit on it. Currently only running about 20 pounds of boost. Im having a major misfire issue in the upper rpm band under load. If I go partial throttle around 15psi its perfect anything higher it misses. I already took out as much timing as possible still having the same issue (not the tune) AFRS are fine. Have gone through 4 types of plugs BR7es/BPR7es/BR8es/BPR8es all gapped around .22 I have even gone as low as .20 and it seemed to get worst. So I even bought new coil packs and replaced those and new spark plug wires. Im officially stumped. Before I was having a simliar issue and I actually gapped my plugs to .28 and it was fine. However with this bigger turbo I dont wanna risk that and I should be able to run that tight of a gap. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it could be or what I can try? Highly doublt bad gas cause it wasn't pulling timing.

????? Are you serious? Theres no way the cars making enough power to require that kind of ignition. Just 20psi of boost on a completely stock motor with no cams should not make 400whp at all and I would imagine stock coilpacks would be good up to that power or even abit more correct me if Im wrong.

Boost leak test went fine and battery? Hmmm My car has been kinda struggling to start in the cold weather recently why would a replacement battery fix the issue Ive been trying to hold off so I can buy a mini battery kit. Mad load on fuel cut table is 319 (I thought of that too it was set at I think 280) but no difference. Also not to overload this thread but Evoscan stopped working for me. When I had my stock injectors with the HTA86 it worked perfect as soon as I put in the ID1000CC's(By the way these are the easiest injectors Ive eve had to tune there perfect! But they do click ungodly loud) suddenly I get an error " Conversion from string "&H" to type 'Integer' is not valid.
Info: Datalogger Ended" Did a search for that and my wiring is fine the Ecuflash works. And I went ahead and hooked it up to my friends evo I tuned and evoscan works fine on his with the same cord.

And you meant the table "Boost Cut load" right?

that just makes me think its the battery even more. is it the stock battery? if it is then its more then 5 years old, might need to be changed. specially now that its getting colder.

borrow one from your buddy or go buy one. if it doesnt fix the issue you can return it the next day, just say you didnt need it or it wouldnt fit or something like that.

if you want a mini battery, i have a braille carbon fiber 15 lb battery for sale. ill let it go for cheap since its just sitting in my garage taking up space. works great in the winter time and wont crap out in a year or 2 like most mini batteries.

well year doesnt really matter. just try swapping batteries. its not hard and doesnt take long. if it ends up fixing it then great. if not, oh well you didnt really lose much by trying.

If it was your plugs, opening them would make it worse.
