What motor was this? What compression? Was it your mixed blend of e85? Mine was out of the pump, might even be e70! Mine was with no timing work yet just boost. Wastegate 24.2psi made 591. Base map might I add.

with david B talking about a high rev 2.3L motor i would think the 6765 turbo might be a great choice. lets see how stupid i am and how dumb i make people.

lets use retard terms here. a 2.0L motor will get 30psi out of an HTA86 at 5500rpm. now the 6765 spools at least 500rpm later. so that would be 6000rpm before it reached 30psi. now if a 2.3L motor can get about 500 rpm quicker spool wouldnt it be nice to have that 6765 hit around what a 2.0L hta86 would but yet have at least a 100 more top end HP. ???????

or am i just a moron? its ok i can handle the truth. HAHAH.

A 2.3 will spool a turbo faster, but you need to remember that it's limited by a lower safe max rpm. Buschur recommends a max of 8500rpm on their 2.3's. Most 2.0's can get away with 9500-10,000rpm. Even the talk about a newer high reving 2.3 is that it can be spun out to 9,000. The extra 500rpm would be nice, but I think a big turbo like the 6765 is still suited more for the 2.0 or 2.1 motors.

yes the standard 2.3 but in his latest thread he is talking 9000/9500rpm 2.3L.

I've driven an evo that is runing a PTE6765 billet , the car feels ridiculously fast and it makes 795whp . In the other hand, I have not gotten the chance to drive an evo runing a 3586 this is why I'm having second thoughts about buying a 6765 . what if the 3586r performs better to my personal liking than a 6567 unfortunately I don't have a way to compare them on the streets because I refuse to buy 2 turbos just for testing lol , I leave that to AWD Motorsports and other great shops that frequently runs tests on different turbos . Just started this thread to see what people think about these two turbos.

i think you answered your question. pretty simple. when the setup is right the 3586 will make high 700's easy. you like the way that 790 felt? ok well the 3586 can do that to but with MUCH better low end. so there for you would want the 3586.

now if a setup is not ideal and the 3586 wont make the high 700s power then the 6765 is going to be even worse. it might make that power but the low/mid will suck and your going to end running more boost then a properly set up car would need to run.

3586 gets my vote for you.

thanks for the advice , I think you have a point when you say the 3586 will definitely make more low end power. I decided to start this thread to collect opinions regarding these turbos every single time you see or hear and evo made 780 and you ask what turbo? they repond saying "a PTE 6765" , if the 3586 can can offer 750whp I will run it since I already have a regular 3582
I can ship to fp and let them do their magic.

In my opinion the 6765 isn't even an option, the hta 3586 will make what you want and sooner giving you a way better yet funner power band. If you want a drag car go with the Hta 3794 which still spools faster than a 6765 and will get you into the 9++ awhp range... just saying.
