I don't know why a Mitsubishi Dealership wouldn’t be more than happy to work on your car. They just won't do warranty work.

Maybe Etacs Ecu ?
I have one in good condition if you want it !
Reason i took it off thought was because my factory one did not have keyless entry.
15 shipped and its yours !

I know forsure that the etacs controls the wipers , interior light , and headlights .

ETACS controls just about every light in the car, along with wipers and door locks.

If you don't have the ability to trouble shoot electronics, you may want to just buy a complete wiring harness for the car and swap it out. Not a fun job.

Other wise, find somebody that knows electronics and start paying.

Also, there are a bunch of jumpers in the main harness. The navigation unit shorting out might haved burned one up.

Did you buy the car new? If so, take it to a reputable evo shop and have them look at it. If you bought it used, then it could be anything..

dilema

so as everyone knows i have an electrical gremlin in my 06 evo 9 rs and a aftermarket alternator

last night i changed the IAC due to my original one being faulty

as i was changing the piece the little o ring gasket for the IAC to connect to the engine dropped somewhere down below ( i know bonehead move ) but i thought hey why not still see if it works !

tried to turn the car on and as it was warming up i heard and saw the RPMs going down .. however due to some electrical issue i have power isnt holding so i had to jump the car to start it up in the first place

jumped the car everything was fine once i took the jumper cables off i saw the electricity dieng out ! and it wasnt holding at all even the RPM gauge dropped to 0 but the engine was still running !!

i have a OEM alternator waiting to be put in as soon as i get time but what my question is .. could it be the alternator causing this electrical issue im having where it isnt holding electricity ??

i have NO shorts and all connectors are in place

i just cant turn on the following

headlights
awd display lights
AC
windshield wipers
Back window defroster
In cabin air control
In cabin light
back license plate lights

i am thinking about bringing my car to mitsubishi after i change the alternator bc RIGHT NOW even if i were to jump the car it wudnt make it to mitsubishi and i DO NOT want to try to even trek it there loll and i am baffeled why none of the components listed in bold ARENT WORKING

any help would be great guys !
