Measure the output at the alternator. It should be around 14.4v. If its over 15 or under 13.8 then Id say something is wrong with it.
Its been a while since Ive had to worry about this stuff, but IIRC theirs either a dwell or freq test you can do too. Pretty much checking to see how noise the voltage is.

or if u live near a shop that has a charging system checker, have them run a test on it a few times, any reputable shop will have one, takes guess work out of bad alternator or dead cell battery.

alot of people will say to either remove the intake manifold from to remove from the top OR... remove it from the bottom which requires a shEET load of thing to be removed out the way in order to fit that big thing out
i did my own way which was they easiest and less pain
move the bracket holding the abs unit and then bend it or have someone hold it far back to the corner and it should be enough room to squeeze it out. might help to move the dip stick bracket aswell

It kind of sucked for me too..
just remove the motor with the tranny and it should be easy from there JK
i lowered the DP, serpentine belt tensioner out, removed passendger axle from the TC. thank it is easy from there

Attempt at your own risk!!!
The way I did mine.
Disconnect battery > Remove intake mani > remove postive lead on alternator > unplug harness connector > loosen up main center bolt(don't remove completely) > jack up car and remove passenger side wheel > remove tension from serpentine belt using a breaker bar and turning auto tensioner clockwise. Put Allen screw to hold tensioner in open position. Belt should be loose. > Back up top, unscrew main bolt for alternator and carefully lift up and out > replace with new alternator > now follow same steps from end to beginning.
Do at your own risk

double check the relays....some of them might be burnt out, or double check the wiring some of those parts have connectors to where u can test with a multimeter, verify your getting power and ground on the connectors once u test the relays...
