New BW EFR Turbo Thread

good news for the few that actually have an 8374 or 9180! after calling and whining for a while, the compressor outlet v-bands are finally going into production. a distributor is making them, not borg warner. i was told roughly $30 range for the v-band, o-ring and clamp which is a steal. ill post as soon as they are made and for sale. first run is for 150 units.

I was going to fire up my new engine this week, but when try to put the radiator in place it would not clear with the WG dump tubes. Now we are going to try and modify the radiator support frames, both top and bottom and see if we can move it at least 2 inches.

what car? on my evo the dump tubes actually fit really well.

Evo 8 with the thick Koyo radiator. LeetEvo had to do the same modification, he is using a 7670 also, with a PWR 57mm radiator. Im going to see how much is going to be that new fabrication in the car, if it's too much $$ I am going to end up selling the EFR and mount a GTX3576.

I was thinking of that option too... The only thing that is holding me down of getting one of his radiator, is that my car is for door to door racing and thinking of a worst case scenario, if I hit the car in the front, at the time to replace the radiator it won't cost me more than the double of the price of a Koyo. The Koyo I can get very cheap because I have wholesale accounts with some distributors and the CBRD one I have to pay the full price like everybody else and its an expensive piece. But I have to agree that is the best radiator out there, a couple of friends down here have them and is one beauty of a piece!

i see. i have a thin radiator and plan on moving it forward and up on the bottom by shortening the pins coming out of the radiator and drilling offset holes in a piece of rectangular tubing and offsetting pins out of the tubing to slide into the stock lower radiator mounting holes.
Have you seen the thread from a Pikes Peak Evo build? If so, look at the "frame" in tubes the build for that same reason, the thing is removable!...It looks sick!
