That's pretty awesome they are actually using the same parts in Indy. I figured it would be something like the TR30R. Any chance those housings will be available to the public?
Any word if they are going to do compressor housings without the BOV and any kind of date on the 7163 being available with the V-band housing?

Maybe its just me, but I dont understand the point or pricetag of TR30R turbos (aside from the exclusivity) afaik its just a slightly larger 9blade NS111 turbine wheel for less inertia - there was actually a good writeup in old garrett catalogs, circa 2006/7. The engineer responsible for the TR30R left Garrett and works at turbonetics now, ill ask if he has any input

Geoff, at this point are there spare t4 1.05 8374 housings available for purchase? 2 years ago I thought I wanted a t3 flange, but now t4 better suits my needs. On an undelivered turbo, can we simply swap them out if we call up?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Twinscroll turbine housings arent in stock right now, the only loose EFR housings we have in stock are T3 singlescroll and T25 singlescroll (sorry that is no help to you) give raffi at full-race a call with any questions, im nerding out on some ecoboost stuff today

BorgWarner's goal is to mfg and sell the same turbos used at the highest level of motorsport to aftermarket enthusiasts. 7163 and the vband singlescroll housings come out in June.

Titainum center housing
MAR-M turbine material (anti-lag)
Billet compressor wheel
Thinwall stainless steel turbine housing
Metal cage bearings
Wheel speed sensor
There is a lot to the TR30R, at least the fully optioned version. But you are also paying for support. There was another Garrett racing turbo I came across at one point and it had even more features. The compressor housing was reversed so the scroll area sat over the center housing to make it more compact. Billet titanium center housing. Looked like it had a mixed flow turbine wheel as well. I tried for hours to dig up the pictures of it on my computer and on the net again and I never could find it.
Anyway, it's awesome that BW is trying to put out a turbo that is used in top level racing to the consumer. Admittedly, most of that stuff on the TR30 has no purpose on a street car, metal bearing cages and V-band housings is about it. If BW can just package these EFR turbos in a smaller package, they will be a big step ahead. Sounds like that's what they are doing with the 7163 as well by going to the smaller B1 bearing system.

Geoff, a couple months ago I asked Raffi if you guys were going to actually offer the T3 inlet T31 outlet stainless undivided turbine housing shown in a few pictures on your web page for the S200SX 7670. He said basically "it's in work".
So now I also wonder if you are planning to make available a housing like this for the EFR7670, and smaller EFRs. And how's it going on getting this housing ready for the S200SX 7670?

How many people on here have received, perhaps are about to receive EFRs with this turbine housing?
