Not just temperature, but also 3psi more boost.

I wish to point out that this beautiful thread is now almost 160 pages long, and that topic is hard to be found, at least for me...
Why doesn't somebody of educated on EFR's please make a new thread collecting the back-to-back dyno data on these new turbo's, and the specs?
In this way it would be easier for many to choose if to upgrade, and how.
For example, I have read all this thread and a number of other ones, but still don't have a clue of what road to go down for big turbo setup on my 8...

Good and interesting idea

I'm in the same situation I'm looking for a new turbo setup and I read a lot of post but I still have some doubts

For you guys looking for data. I compared Geoff's 8374 and my 7670 data in a dyno thread.

What specifically are you looking for? What size turbo range? Goals etc? I can try to answer your questions or help you filter through all these pages to get you the info you need.

I saw that dyno thread

I'm interested to see a 8374 1.05 in a 2.2 or 2.3 engine. I was looking for a long time but I only found the SSE dyno chart and I don't know what fuel has used in that test. Then I have not many conclusions about 8374 specs performance in a stroker engine

Fact is, there are only a VERY LIMITED number of setups posting numbers so getting some perspective on what these turbos can do in a typical setup is pretty difficult still.

Ben Denkers 7670 1.05 on a 2.3L E85
My 7670 1.05 on a 2.2L pump and E85
Geoff's 8374 .92 IWG on a 2.0L Race and Pump
SSE 8375 1.05 on a 2.2L and E98

Then if you want to stray outside of Evo land... there are a few K series dyno's of the 8374 and the Supra test (3.4L Supra on E85) that tested the 1.05 T4 compared to the Precision units. The precision units made more peak power by a small percentage, but none of the precision unit's will have the transient response of the EFR.

So... I think that's where you have to draw the line in the sand for yourself. How important is that to you, and do you care?

Yes I do but a similar engine with this turbo can help me to get an idea to the specs performance in my engine

Maybe the Fp Black BB is another great choice with similar specs performance. I think that the Black spools better with less end power. About the response between these 2 turbos... I don't know

Thank you for the fuel info

Eric,

Do you have stock turbo vs EFR transient testing data?

I'd like the see the difference once you're above boost threshold ~4000rpm etc

A mate's EVO running an EFR8374 1.05a/r TS on a 2.3litre will be tuned in the next couple of weeks as far as I know, will share results if he is happy for them to be.
