New BW EFR Turbo Thread

i have personally seen 20whp increase from going from 1.25" to 1.5" exhaust manifold piping. This was on a 400whp car. Yes there was a 200-300 loss in rpm for boost threshold levels, but you are essentially just shifting the power curve.
On the 7670 i really dont think there will be a response problem

No sides here just concepts and application. The size of the runners should be as small as will still efficiently permit the flow necessary for the upper level of HP that is targeted.
Remember we're talking schedule 40 pipe dimensions, not tubing. They are measured differently, as you will find if you look up the difference in nomenclature.
Schedule 40 1.25" pipe has an internal diameter of 1.38" (and a external diameter of 1.66"). That's .12 of an inch under 1.5" internal...
The standard size for Full Race manifolds is 1.25" pipe. It works well.

We just recently set Full Race up as a CBRD authorized dealer- so Geoff was willing to come back and help us get turbo- so hopefully we will have it soon!
this will be a pretty awesome setup-
-Garrett Core- (not our standard size), custom piping (short route) with hargett quick disconnects
-CBRD 1.5" Dual Pass 3/4 width radiator tucked under rad support
-CBRD 2L, built head with inconel exhaust valves
-CBRD Custom manifold 4-2-1 long runner SS-
-BW EFR single scroll .84 T3 internally gated turbo with built in EBCS and BOV
We expect great things- goal is 475whp on 93 on our mustang dyno, stock ecu and maf..
ill post pics when its coming together-

Definitely keep us posted, Chad. I'm buying the first header that can accommodate an IWG 7670 with good results. I've already got the built 2.0 - now I just need an IWG 7670 setup to go with it.

^im in the same boat. Im looking for a 7670 setup also.
Upgrading the turbo in about a month so hopefully something is ready by then
I want the twinscroll so if an IWG setup isnt done by then i might just go with the full race twinscroll manifold

^^^i'm in the same boat as you guys, twinscroll 7670 in my evo 8. Its just a matter of waiting for the turbos to start trickling in right now. For my car Im leaning towards the external wg's due to the larger A/R, since ill be using E85 on a built bottom end and running highish boost

I got so see about 5 of the smaller ones (6258) in person that my friend had about a month ago. Pretty good looking little guys.
Those results have me much more interested though in the smaller frame turbochargers. 20 psi by 3200 on a 2L and making 540WHP. That's awesome and would be more then I had ever hoped for on my car.
Hopefully by next winter they will have some more housing options for the smaller frame turbos.

we just received some more of the 6758s today. EFR twinscroll turbos are in production now, and we will start to fill orders once the turbos arrive. BW closes every year for easter holiday so while twinscroll production is in process we can not give you firm dates until the parts are on the shipping dock ready to go. BW knows what everyone is waiting on and they are doing their best to get the turbos built.
03white gsr - i agree that the smaller turbos are becoming more and more interesting. We all have a lot to learn about them
runthat - were doing our best to get everyone turbos as soon as they arrive, it looks like the smaller twinscroll EFRs will be shipping before the 9180's so please be patient thank you!!
