I think it's helpful and interesting, so I'd love to see anything and everything you're willing to share. Keep it coming.

Until we get more Evo results, it will have to do.

Here's a little more non-EVO EFR data.
FFtec Motorsports installed a twin scroll 7163 on a EcoBoost Mustang. It's a 2.3 engine, actual displacement is 2260cc, stock cams with twin VVT gears, direct injection and 9.2 compression at 24psi of boost.

I've used the same turbo on a MK7 VW GTI... running 28psi of boost. The reason is the cylinder head!

Built motor? E85? Shaft speed sensor? I want to see what this turbo can do in an Evo.

Me too! Mr. CB!
I am moving to 8374, but there is another Evo in garage on HKS 7460, waiting to hear about 7163.

I'll add my results here since it lacks some Evo data.

IWG 8374 Full-Race Manifold 1.25 runners
2.0 buschur spec build
Cosworth 272
Shaft speeds are right around 110k

*My s90 throttle body was whistling pretty loudly at 20psi during a boost leak test (haven't fixed this yet)

Here is a log from my Evo with EFR 8374 single scroll and internal wastegate during a 1/4 mile run trapping about 148-149 mph showing turbo speed, engine rpm, tps and boost. Too bad I couldnt find the tube I had made to measure backpressure...

Cool, thanks for sharing that - interesting data!

I guess I haven't looked at too many logs for this kind of setup, but I am a little surprised to see the turbo needing around half a second to build from 1bar to 2bar of boost above 6000rpm at wide open throttle on the shift to second - maybe I have been playing around with cars with smaller turbos too much, or some other reason to have an unrealistic expectation but with all the transient response guff I kindof expected it to snap up to at least 140kpa much more enthusiastically than that?

Theoretical Graph using BorgWarner's MatchBot. 7163; 2.0 block @ 27psi. It can do more tq mid range on a built block of course. I'm on my phone so I can't really paste this well, but here's the table. I'm planning on getting this turbo by April. That ford tune is reallyyyy holding back.

RPM. Hp. Tq.
2200 86 205
3000 208 365
4000 312 409
5000 369 388
6000 443 388
7000 488 366
8000 551 362

The Ford tune isn't being held back... It's the cylinder head.

I'm excited to see what the ecoboost engine can do since the Focus RS will have the same engine. That'll be interesting when it comes out. Have you been working on them?
I've been following the progress, the ecoboost mustang is up to 435 whp at 26psi. It seems to be limited by the direct injection fuel system, too.

Is that on efr8374 internally gated, on 91 octane?
The 435whp at 26psi.
On your Mustang, or DJ?
