New BW EFR Turbo Thread

i wonder why hypertune doesnt make a manifold for IWG?
#3002
The collector is investment cast (they use this process for all their manifolds), they haven't designed a collector for IWG applications due to tooling expense
If the demand was there they could do it but unfortunately there isn't (in Australia at least) especially when you can land a FullRace for similar/less money
^^^ Almost looks like you couldn't close the hood with that 9180 :P Looks nice

I would say they don't make an IWG manifold as the only T4 flanged IWG turbo is the EFR so id think its a small market to aim for as such. T4 EWG on the other hand obviously a common thing and will suit more than just the EFR.

Don't know about that, did see a post on facebook regarding the biggest efr in current frame:
We are seriously considering raising the ceiling on EFR Series top-end flow capacity. We’re thinking of a 92mm (OD) compressor with ~73mm inducer and a mixed-flow turbine with an 81mm tip OD. We feel this is as large as we can go while keeping within the frame of the current product line. It would be drop-in interchangeable with today’s EFR-9180’s, and yes, it would have an aluminum center section. We’d be interested in hearing everyone’s feedback on this idea! Thanks

I find this to be an interesting comment because it proves that BW can do their MFT in larger sizes than the 7163 (as I always believed but was told by a friend it wasn't possible).

theres instagram on full race of Phuong and wingz tuning, built evolution 9 running the 9174 EFR turbo, 45psi on a Fullrace kit. they say its a test turbo to be safer for higher speeds. backpressure and spool in between the other efr
