i been reading the whole thread and its really informative
is there a dyno comparison between 8374 and 9174,or 9174 vs 9180 ?
it would be great to show the real potential of the 9174 turbo.

Well, a thing showed up today to replace my 71hta. Results on a stock block Evo 9 in about 2 months, or earlier depending on when I get my manifold in.

What manifold are you going with for the 7163?

Really, I didn't think Hypertune made a twin scroll manifold for the 7163. Any links to it?

Mine I have on order is a different manifold design, specifically made for the 7163. I don't have any links, but will provide plenty of pictures when I get it!

Can't wait to see pics. The Hypertune manifold is definitely on my wishlist along with an EFR turbo.

Hypertune Evo manifolds are only available in Twin Scroll

Better send that turbo back mate, Hypertune only have manifolds for the EWG range of EFR's. All Hypertune manifold collectors and flanges are investment cast 347, so unless the numbers are there to warrant tooling they won't do a IWG version

They already have a manifold for the big C Cover EFR's (8173, 9140), it will also suit big TS Precision, Garretts etc. As I've found out this manifold won't work with the B Cover EFR's (7163, 7670), the guys are in the process of building a 'tilted' manifold to suit these. Will post pics of these within the next 2 weeks when finished

Just got my aluminum CHRA 9174. It is 6.3 pounds lighter than the steel CHRA 9174.

Thats awesome man, you understand that IWG turbo won't work with it though? You'll need to swap it over for a EWG

Pete has told me otherwise, but you're making me worry now so I'll double check with him again. Will report back!

I also emailed Hypertune, the manifold they plan on making will be for EWG. But Full-race assures me there is no T4 twin scroll EWG 7163. Maybe they plan on welding the flapper door shut?
