Hopefully will have some more SS 8374 results in the next month. Will be on LR2.5 10:1 compression, gsc s2's and pump gas to start.

I'm seriously thinking about a Twin scroll 7064 on my 2.3+mivec.

1.06 T4 TS 7670 on a 2.3 has 20psi boost threshold @ 3800rpm.
Pump gas, add 100rpm (3900rpm).
Mivec, reduce 300rpm (3600rpm).
0.92 TS T4 internal wastegate, reduce 100rpm? (3500rpm).

Now i want to see what a 0.92 TS T4 7064 can do with a 2.3+mivec engine...
20psi @ 3000-3200 possible?
And still capable of ~520whp (56lb/min flow)... Yes please!

The 7064 looks just about right for my driving style. I like what you're thinking. If some freak accident claims my long block and turbo, I've promised myself that I'll build a 2.3/2.4 + 7064.

I am still waiting for my 8374 twinscroll since last Dec too.
Ouch, that really puts it into perspective. You're quickly coming up on your 1-year mark. Props to Borg-Warner for taking the time to do it right, but they really should have waited to run their heavy marketing campaign for these turbos until they were ready to go.

I think some parts supplier should have made sure they could supply the quality and volume... BW would not have known that after a supplier supplied them with good parts for proto types that they will go bad on volume production....

You're not thinking, mate. You need to test all three before you can make an educated decision. The masses (read: me) want to see a direct comparison on a 2.0L between the 7064, 7670, and 8374.

thats an interesting idea since my evo is a 2L, I could try and hot-swap turbos on the dyno (feasible since its a top mount). Ill have a little time in decemeber after PRI to get my evo finished and tuned. What dyno does everyone want to see testing on these days - mustang? dynapack? dynojet? Ill need to try and get that squared away and reserved

Either Mustang or Dynojet imo.

Yeah either Mustang or DJ would be fine. Personally I don't care what the numbers look like, I'm much more interested to see the torque curves and spoolup.

Dynojet.
They're the most common and read very close to each other. Everyone is familiar with and knows DJ horsepower. Unfortunately the MD results can be skewed by the operator, which doesn't mean they're less valuable, but it certainly adds in a discernable amount of doubt.

I agree Geoff...it would be a great test.

Another great one that people are going to ask is... what is the difference in spool/power with the .92AR internal gate and the 1.05 external. We intuitively know the difference, the question will be of a quantitative nature.

mustang and dynapack are the easiest for me to use for extended lengths of time, but ill look into who has an AWD dynojet I can use in phoenix. rt/ernie good point, but im not sure how feasible doing all that testing in a short amount of time would be. worth consideration to be sure
