With your reasoning, you could get a 7670 TS T4 0.92 making 20psi @ 3300-3400rpm... (with mivec)
I'd tend to agree. Also, I would also be surprised if you could get the 8374 turbo to do all that and keep it still under 4500RPM on a 2.0. Look at the seira siera graph on full-race... thats set to on 32PSI a 2.2l motor. Plus the guy has an audi without mivec...so who knows lol.

I'm trying to collect as much data as possible;however, there still isn't a lot of info. I've talked to 3 people who have the same TS turbo setup as me the only difference being I'm on a 2.3. It appears the 2.3 is making peak torque with similar boost in all cases 1000 to 1200RPM faster. I just don't think a smaller housing and mivec can bridge even a 1000RPM gap. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

IMO I still wouldn't go larger then the 7670 if you want to meet your 4500RPM goals on your 2.0.

Thats what I figured. I really only want to be around 500hp so I might just stick with the 7064. If I can get close to 500 hp plus being a little closer to stock spool i'd be happy with that. Thanks for the insight fellas.

not sure, but a standard t4 blanket fits perfect on a twinscroll 1.05 ewg 8374.

yes - it can work, just need to make sure the WG arm is not obstructed from movement. here is a photo:

the prototype kit was on display last weekend at the Outlaw Shootout race, and it will be on display this weekend at Mitsubishi Owner's day in NJ. I decided not to post pics becuase there are 2 small changes I'd like to make before making it public. I'll try and have the revised version ready for display in BW's SEMA and PRI booths

we are waiting on BW to provide tracking #s on what units are shipping. literally emailing them daily (often multiple times per day) to get this. it has not been easy caught in the middle like this, i can tell you that

If your Concerned about heat don't be cheap and buy a blanket, get it coated. Your spending $1800+ on a turbo don't hit it.

Are you serious? A blanket is 10x more effective than any coating.

Do both, be a baller.

Coating for anti-oxidization
blanket for thermal management

Probably give those cheaper thinner ceramic coatings an actual purpose in life. They hold up well, but they don't block jack for heat.

Oh ok, but why cover up such a nice turbine housing?

I'm pretty positive there are types of coating that will compete with the blanket.

Jet hot's E series 2500 is one....

I wish you were right, but no coating is even close. On a fully hot engine i can hold my hand on the blanket for minutes. Try that with a coated turbine and you will be in the hospital.

swain-tech is probably the best coating but the blanket does soo much more! and who cares if it covers up the "pretty housing", the people putting these EFR's on their cars are doing it for functionality and spool, not baller status...
