That is cool
Yes it is all one piece of chromoly (sorry can't remember the exact size of tubing)

It utilizes the front trans mount and 17mm rear sub frame mounting point

Yeah, it's a piece we fabricated in house for the car. we may be sending it out for powder coating as well.

Here are the requested pics of the AMS oil pan.

I thought I had more, but I can't find them at the moment. There's around 5,000 pictures in my photobucket...

As far as fitment with an EFR turbo, I don't see it would be a problem, you just may need some extra fabrication in order to get the downpipe fitted nicely.

Mike,
I assume that is a 3" downpipe on the 4088R?

This is going to be fun. I already started modeling my 4G64. AMS pan comes in this week...already have the MVS and the 7670 modeled thanks to Nucci!

I think that oil pan could use a 4.5" aluminum recession in it that mirrors the downpipe. Along with some ceramic coating, real gold foil, etc.

Sorry for the mis-information but i guess it was an ETS kit not a Full Race

Geoff or any other BW dealer, is the smaller 7064 available in a journal bearing version, similar to this 200SX 7670 that is advertised as using the same turbine aero as the EFR series?

while BW/Airwerks does have some EFR technology trickling down with the 9180 (s400sx 67mm FMW), 8374 (s300sx FMW) and 7670 (s200sx) - the 7064 will not be part of this since the 64mm turbine wheel is too small to fit any of the existing turbine housings. There is an s200sx 7070 that could fit the bill, weve seen some great results from that turbo with a smaller a/r housing

on a similar note, Philthy changed his STi's Garrett twinscroll 4088R (multicolor dash line) to a BW S300SX FMW flat tip .91 a/r (solid yellow line) the results are pretty solid, pump gas @ 28psi w/ meth injection. ill put up some legit dynocharts later, here are some cell phone screen shots

After driving it thoroughly, he commented the difference in response and spool while driving is enormous (much larger than the dyno would lead him to believe) and is now considering to change his evo too

edit: any of you guys with the AMS pan have a stock evo oil pan for sale? Please PM me, thanks

some interesting Evo results from Giangi in italy: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ly-958-hp.html

"with your twinscroll and Borg Warner S400SX turbo we have:
195hp at 4000 rpm
420hp at 5000
650hp at 6000

with a torque curve always over 360 lb/ft from 5000 to 8800 rpm
tq over 500 lb/ft from 6000 to 8800

so far spools like a T3 6262 which makes 200 hp less"

Speaking of that... I was talking to a few shops.. and the rumor on the street is that the "O" rings in the WG have been failing.. So much so that a few peps are seriously considering moving to turbosmart or something similar. Do you know anything about this?

I've been told two different stories:

1. The water cooling was designed as feature to make road racers happy.

2. It was a bandaid fix in order to help improve the longevity of the O ring.

I was just curious if you had any insight. As I said, its merely a rumor and I have no idea one way or another.

I dunno though... food for though i guess.
