I had never heard of Kinugawa prior to your post....In the US, there are several options with a proven track record - FP, BBK, Garrett, BW, Precision, etc...

I tried to do a quick search on the company and came up with nothing other than ebay ....My guess is they are a Chinese manufacturing shop trying to come across as a Japanese company. Either way, I would stick with FP for a stock framed turbo.

I´ve bought a 10.5 single flaper exhaust housing and 22 psi wastegate actuator arm from Kinugawa, both are working fine. The exhaust housing is not made by Mitsubishi but the quality is good, so I would assume (could be wrong) that the turbos they sell are also not fully made with Mitsubishi parts.

What Cij911 says is probably true, so eventhough their prices are very attractive, there is no proven result anywhere that I could find. There is a thread somewhere and Aaron from English Racing was going to test one of this Kinugawa turbos I think, but no results were posted.

I would also go with proven brands for turbos.

Cheers,

Ricardo

Hi jameswwt, I didn´t buy a whole turbo from Kinugawa, just the 10.5 exhaust housing with single flapper and a 22 psi WGA. Both items are working fine after several Autox events and about 6 months use.

I do hope to see a more complete test of one of their turbos cause their prices are so attractive, but it looks risky as well.

Cheers,

Ricardo
