500hp 64mm red, thinking about swapping my buddy club cams

500hp 64mm red, thinking about swapping my buddy club cams

I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SWAPPING OUT MY CAMS TO GSC S2, BUT WILL IT BE WORTH IT? HAS ANYONE SWITCH THEM AND DID A BACK TO BACK DYNO?

FP RED turbo with 64mm cover
Buddy Club 272 intake and exhaust cams
AEM short ram intake
Basic 3" turboback exhaust
Blaqops double fuel pump upgrade
FIC 1250cc fuel injectors
GIZZMO IBC boost controller
ARP headstuds
Forge BOV
FMIC
Tuning Technologies remap

i suggest skip that for now and just use the money for other parts like a ported intake manifold and throttle body.

One of my good friends is running the 280s and at least on the Stock turbo with FP flow advancement cover (surge port for a IX) it made "normal" S2 power at 385whp. However it idles WAY WORSE, loses power under 4500, and required playing with the cam gears and adding that cover. I really think the S2s are the best choice since idle, response, and power are all better with less mods.

ya i was thinking about porting the intake mani and 65mm tb, but came across a good deal on the s2's.

Maybe look into a ported exh manifold also, or even a well designed O2 dump.

off topic: Your description says its the 64mm red and the thread you linked to says 84mm

ya my tunner thought it was the 84mm, but really its the 64mm
also i do have a ported exhaust mani.
