Best Clutch Kit for Evo 8 DD

I was Looking for a new clutch kit for my evo 8, looking for something that wont be to uncomfortable for a daily driver. I was looking into the Act Street clutch kit/ flywheel, and was also looking at the Exedy/ RRE Clutch/Flywheel Kit. heard those felt almost close to stock. i have it lightly modded but adding onto it aswell. probaly gonna be around 380-400 hp when done.

-greddy exhaust
-cusco test pipe
-invidia down pipe
-acr induction box
-dc headers

DC headers? Does DC even make anything for an Evo? Regardless, a tubular manifold is a waste of money at that mod level especially considering stock turbo. Cams and evo IX turbine housing would do you much better.

As far as clutch, its pretty beaten to death. I like my Comp stage 3 for daily. Has worked great for 4k miles so far.

I've been running ACT HDSS with fidanza flywheel for the last 50k.

It's been a great clutch so far.

I've been running an ACT street disc clutch in my car for the last 40k miles and it's still holding up just fine. I think I have another 15k miles on it before I need to replace it.

Yes, DC I know for sure makes a DC Sports full TBE, it was on my Evo for the longest time.

I put an ACT XTSS with Prolite flywheel and i love it, clutch is stiffer then stock but i like how it feels. and talk about grabing power, it'll handle anything i can throw at it.

Thats a terrible clutch for a DD with under 400hp. Costs 4x the cost of other options, its noisy, and way overkill.

I like my ACT HDSS, it works great for me and has good holding power.

As long as you don't go to the drag strip(lock out issues), it will be a great clutch for you.

Twin plate clutches aren't known for their lifespans or affordability, regardless of the clutch pedal feel. Stick with a sprung single disc+oem flywheel if you're still around stock hp levels.
