To be completely honest with you, this is something that i would not even try. I dont know if its possible or not because i would never think to do it. If you have to replace main bearings your goig to be much better off pulling the motor and getting it done the right way. You dont want to take the chance of having issues later on down the road because you didnt take the time or spend the money now to fix the problem.

No issues. I am contemplating putting in new rods and pistons. I seen many people do "drop in" setups. I assume they all use the stock crank bearings. I've done the bearings in a Toyota with crank still in the car and its gone 100k with no issues. My other idea is to just pull it and build it up or buy a spare block. Just seeing if anyone has done it or not.
