With the Mr Fred Wideband control closed loop afr patch the front o2 sensor is free you can connect there the E85 analyzer . With an other patch what can manipulate the octance level we can richen up the fuel and lowering the timing if the ethanol content is not 85% . On pumg gas program we can switch to EGT sensor

i'm pretty sure you would reduce the amount of fuel going into the engine as gasoline has a more energy per litre than ethanol.
can the stock ECU take a square wave input directly without going through the ECA?

there was a big pump gas thread in the dyno fourm that had good info about what the op is asking for ill try to find the link.

yep apparently hooking it into the digital input of the ecu - allows the ecu to read it like a voltage... so hopefully it works well

Then going to output the information to a racing dash as well

My idea is only a safety function, the injector scaling and the tune in the ecu is for E85. If in the gas tank the e85 content is different than it can protect the engine.
Or on alt map, pump gas tune if the Egt is too high under heavy race also can protect.

hey guys,

just put a Link G4 in my R34 GTR, and have the gm ethanol sensor as well - i also bought one of the Zeitronix wiring harness for the content sensor, is this what i need to feed the digital input to the ECU? or do i need another plug/lead?

cheers

heya, you can ask those questions on the G4 Forums at www.linkecu.com

but to answer your question, just put the signal wire to a digital input. No other boxes required.
Enjoy LinkEcu power!
