Which 02 housing for better spool?

Basically, I'm shooting for 300-320 WHP on a Mustang Dyno with basic bolt-on mods. The plan is to have a nice bolt-on Evo that spools quickly to make a nice DD and occasional auto-x'er. I've been researching various 02 housings and haven't been able to find much information, except that the Titek is 2-3mm bigger than the competitions, whatever that means, and that the Invidia is a 3". So, my question to you all is, what is a good 02 housing that promotes quick spool?

Also, is it true a smaller outlet such as a 2.5" creates more midrange torque?

There's a lot of speculation around as to which O2 housing is better etc.
Maybe this write up by Jay can assist you:

I couldnt tell ya but I know Buschur did a test on tubular manifolds and a few o2 housings and the cheapy $80ish china ebay housings performed the same as one of the name brand names for like 3x the price. It's made of cheaper material more prone to crack but many people on here are running them without cracking.

From what I know....bigger exhaust piping you gain top end but lose bottom end response

Smaller exhaust piping you gain bottom end but loose top end (chokes it)

I assume its roughly the same with turbo cars...to an extent...but this is why theres companies that make exhaust valves and mufflers with a valve built inside it when you press a button it bypasses the muffler internals and turns into a straight through muffler for good top end.

Yeah, I was reading that thread for a bit. Not too sure about the results since the setup (FP Black, HKS 280 cams) seems to have pushed the graphs to the right. Any vendors willing to share some knowledge?

Megan - cheap and it works. Get it ceramic coated.

Or get a full o2 elim downpipe from one of our vendors.

Generally speaking the larger the diameter the greater the emphasis on horsepower is than torque. That being said I think in most cases with our cars the overall ccombination of parts will play a bigger role. Cant go wrong with the ported Megan or decent eBay unit then focus on other things to achieve your desired power levels. This o2 housing debate has been beat up and dragged out so many times it's not even funny.

Invidia ftw. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this piece.

I wouldnt go ebay, as the welds probably arent that tough.

Im from lemoore, and had the first EVO in the lemoore/hanford area in early 2003, how long have you had yours?

Now back on topic, IMO a good quality o2 housing that spools fast has a divided wastgate that dumps seperatley into the atmosphere, or recirculates a foot or so back into the exhaust not a few inches from the turbo like the megan or invidia, that causes turbulence. It can be debated and people can say im wrong but smooth exhaust flow helps in the power making department. And FYI a 2.5" o2 outlet will spool slightly faster than a 3" outlet or in the Invidia's case a 2.9" outlet.

Thanks for the info. Any o2 housings that recirculate a foot or so back into the exhaust? I've been reading the product descriptions for various 02 housings and haven't come across any info like this.

Anyways, I've had my IX since late June of last year. Out of CT9A's, I've only seen a red one (from the base) and a white one in Lemoore. Are you still in the area?
