Lightbulb New Product Introduction

Hi Folks, just wanted to share this NPI feature set with u. Took me 8 months to dev. it (part time) and a bunch of R&D $$$ out of my pocket.

It's a dashboard dial, multigauge controller for turbo apps. It's special cuz u can upgrade from the default feature set to the feature set you want. Not what a manufacturer decides you want. No PC linkup required...security codes used.

A ton of stuff in it....

Type: Automotive
Text Desc: An attractive 'Dial' multigauge controller, dashboard mounted ( with incl. HW) via 52mm thru 80mm universal gauge cups.
DisplayTypes: Analog 20 fullsize LED sweep & large 4 digit display within an 82mm diameter display.

Display Capabilities:
1) Displays Boost (PSI/Bars), AFR (WB, lambda & NB moving avg), RPM, on either Sweep or Digital. EGT & Voltage on digital.
- EGT display requires a 0-5V linear K type input. K type Tcouple & linear Preamp module are Additional.
- Temp range to 2000 F , > 1000C, programmable parameter relay trigger in aux. drivers, see below.
2) Peakboost/Peak RPM / PeakEGT features. EGT displays in F if boost 'PSI' units active, Celsius if Boost 'Bar' Units active.
3) Independent Analog & digital display combos, eg. Analog sweep Boost & Digital RPM
4) Analog sweep capable of (2x270) 540 degrees resolution in Vacuum/boost mode.
5) Indicators for dual aux drives & turbotimer countdown. Backlight.
6) Optional Opening ceremony displaying settings and active features.
7) Dimmer
8) Audio visual alarms


Control Capabilites:
1) EBC with 3 closed loop PID & 3 open loop maps. Up to 4 bar. Optional Continuous barometric correction for hilly terrain (with dual sensors)
2) Electronic BOV control (can drive mech. BOV via vacuum canister) , includes protective, user set, overboost pop off option.
3) Gearbased Boost traction control
4) Twin auxiliary drives with TPS,Boost,RPM , EGT& AFR parameters. Latency response control. (0.1 sec incremental )
5) Turbotimer up to 10 min. Digital countdown option. Turbotimer will use Aux2 relay drive, either feature preference is menu selectable.

Benchmarking Boost performance(dyno) & precision calibration.
1) 8 data point dyno, capturing timed boost spool to a user set pressure after each gearshift/vacuum transition.
2) Precise one touch ambient calibration (during Open Ceremony/motor off) to provide for Temperature & elevation conditions.
This is required when unit is first installed or if the MAP sensor is replaced. Each unit is therefore custom calibrated to match individual sensors.
Optional user recalibration if super accuracy is required for a particular environment, at the race track perhaps.
The system remembers the calibration data.


Human Machine Interface:
Similar to Turbosmart2 with 2 button control of a hierarchical 4 Digit menu system. Simple & efficient plus tactile & audible feedback .
One touch/hold swaps Performance/Urban EBC & BOV control maps.
One touch for Peakboost/RPM.
One touch for Dimmer toggle
One touch for alarm acknowledge, eg. sensor over/under acceptable range => connection error or failed sensor.
One touch/hold for menu entry/exit.
One touch for dyno mode reset or cancel.


Noteworthy
The programableaux. relay drive system permits the addition of external shift lights, relays (water injection/nitrous) , or boost/EGT level warnings/triggers.
Further the configurable aux. system can SOLVE partial Throttle turbo flutter with the addition of a 1/2" recirc. solenoid valve, parallel to the BOV.
Additionally this 1/2" valve ( Via EBOV ctrl) can augment the mech. BOV response providing very fast (sub 50ms) response with resultant smoother throttle response.
Continuous baro sensor shares EGT input line, only one can be active. Menu configured.
All drive lines switch to ground.
Low cost purchase with 22 hours runtime of full features, you choose the permanent desired features online. Security code entry, no PC link required.
Default permanent features: 3 or 4 bar Boost gauge, EGT display, Voltmeter, Turbotimer, NB AFR, continuous barometric correction.
Upgrade features: Wideband/Lambda AFR, Programmable Auxiliary drives, E-BOV control with POP off overboost limiter, E Boost Control with launch Traction control, Spool Dyno, Tacho,

Construction & Durability
Based on a microcontroller system board, using modern SMD devices and some through hole components. ROHS compatible. Pb free.
Rear mounted 6 pin miniDIN connectors and 10-24 threaded hole for machine screw mounting onto Universal gauge cups.
6-32 Machine screw ground lug.
Remote sensors.
