So sorry to hear about this David, I've checked my screws due to them fears myself several times! Basically each time I've rebuilt my car I check them in fear it could one day happen.

Can't wait to see it together again and making power I've been checking your thread daily waiting to see more numbers!

I can't wait either! I'm so ready to drive the wheels off this beast this summer! I can't wait to autocross it with this power band and the new rear diff set up. I changed springs last fall, sway bars etc. I'm hoping it's a big improvement. No more autocrossing on M/T Drag Radials either and the power down low dwarfs the old power. Then I've got the new wheels and tires for the drags.............believe me, I didn't want this, it SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!!! Nobody to blame, fix it, rebuild it and get back at it.

I told my brother I wish there was a car God. I'd have liked to been offered to just pay the price up front and never had it happen....

This thread definitely proves dumb **** can and does happen to anyone. Sucks to hear Dave, as I know you were very happy with this set up. Hopefully the new motor will be just like this one (minus self destruct mode)!

Wow man that is a good bit of info. I will definately make sure I always make sure the butterfly screws are either loctited or something to make sure they stay stuck.

I feel your pain. I´m yet to finish rebuilding my engine and gearbox but sometimes I think that problems like that can happen. I hope not. I can´t take more problems. Not until I have some fun with the car.

We had a hypertune Tb come apart on the dyno with Brian Krocks car. The car reved to the moon and I shut it down as soon as I could only to find the screw in the intake manifold. Boy was he lucky.
