Solid hub clutch on a MR tranny ?
Ok,its time for a new clutch for my evo 9 mr and just bought the exedy compe-r twin plate. (MM022SBL) and realized that it is an unsprung hub clutch after i bought it.
Im using my evo as a DD and it has the 6 speed tranny.
what will be the outcomes or disadvantages of this clutch to my car/tranny .

Solid center discs will tend to wear the splines out faster either on the discs or on the shaft since there is no dampening of the engine's torsional vibrations. Drivability is not much different than spring center.

It depends how much torque you are putting out from your engine. Idk if you mean will it not slip as a safe " default " compared to a sprung hut before blowing the mr trans . . ? If so it is mainly just a input shaft wear issue from non sprung and with a twin disk one should start to slightly grab before the other before you come into impact forces being an issue. You can easily look up to see what power levels the mr trans' are breaking at. Good luck man.
