Precision 6262/FP red owners chime in!!
Well i was looking at going with a fp red or a 6262 my current mods are hks 272's all hard pipes, BFMIC, ajustable cam gears, 3 inch hks exhaust, etc basic full bolt on car. Im looking to add the proper supporting mods to go with the turbo as well. Im looking for a low 11 sec car daily driving and pump gas with meth. What would be the best all around turbo and id i want to go for more in the future would support my goal? Thanks for your input!!

Well the 6262 is definately going to support more in the future. Check out the Drag racing section if your about 1/4 mile times and also the dyno results section. Plenty of stock frame options that will get you to low 11's

a fp red/green/black will make more TQ out of the hole and earlier, but the top end will fall out in the end. A 6262 will have no low end tq but will make up for it in the top end and will make more power on pump gas and has alot of room to grow.
Do you want a low 11 sec daily driver on 93oct/e85/c16? Stock frame turbo's have come along way and have gone 9s in the 1/4 in kill mode and mid to low 11s on day to day basis.
Is your motor built? A stock frame turbo is harder on the short block since they make more low end tq and a 6262 turbo is alot easier on it since the TQ is further in the powerband. Hence why you see alot of stock block 500hp evos around but with only 380TQ with the bigger turbo setups.

Well speaking from experience, I've gone 11.31 with my red on a basic setup in semi kill mode.
Like blackgsx asked, are you looking to do low 11's on pump + meth or race gas etc? The 6262 will be a little more forgiving on the stock block in regards to TQ, but will definitely give you more up top over a Red.
In regards to moving out the hole, in theory the Red will be in it's peak tq zone earlier than the 62, but that's not to say that the 62 can't get out quickly, it's all in the "tuning" (2 step rpm, 2 step psi, etc.)
Maybe a little closer "apples to apples" comparison would be a Red vs Black...cost wise, setup wise (actuator vs actuator) just my $.02

The FP Red on 93oct+methanol injection is a 10 second turbo all day long in a 3,000lb daily driver. With just rolling off the line to a 1.69 60ft, I was able to run 10.5's @131mph no problem. Comparing an FP Red and a 6262 is an apples to oranges comparison.
FP Red- quick spooling stock frame turbo that hit's hard around 4k rpms
6262- slower spooling top end turbo that hit's hard around 5k rpms.
1k rpms is a HUGE difference in response when considering a street car. Their are other turbo's in between those two that fill in the gap much better, such as an FP Black or an HTA3582 *basically an FP Black in a t3 housing.
My personal opinion, go with the FP Red and focus on making good power with supporting mods first before prematurely stepping up to a bigger turbo that will only further expose deficiencies in incomplete supporting mods.

6262 by far over a red.... Once you launch off the 2 step, your always in high rpm after that... and power wise on the top the 6262 > Red. You can consider the Black over the Red, but even over the black I still choose the 6262.
