Transmission output shafts question
I've got an '05 with ACD.
How much play is acceptable in the inner "output shaft" of the transmission? There are 2. The outer one is very firmly mounted... my inner has a little play. After inspecting the transfer case it seems that this inner "shaft" would be firmly supported by the TC. Both shafts are really the splined "tubes" that go into the T-case... not the rod that runs through the tranny to the driver side.

It feels like alot of play when its out of the car. But what you have to remember is once it goes in the car its locked together with the transfer case on the outside of it and also has the 2 shafts running through the inside of it so once its all installed its tight in there.
