How loud is the noise inside the car while driving? I have have learned with time that when your listening for weird noises, you will hear them. I have heard alot of motors with piston slap and Valve noises, but have run great for a long time. The 4g63 is a great motor and most likely run like a champ even with noises. Good Luck..

can you please explain how tight wrist pin clearances caused problems?
wont the piston still rotate on the pin? or are you talking about the pin to rod clearance?

We had a Sohc(Bucket and shim) at work that made the exact same noise, we found that excessive wear in the cam tunnels caused like a static pendulum effect.
bla bla bla.
have a look anyway if you can bruv.

i have the same noise and have had it ever since i had gsc s2 cams installed. seems to get quieter as the engine warms up but i can still hear it on decel. i have wiesco drop in pistons with 20k on them now and think this might b pistin slap. i had my block honed before installing the pistons but y it would b louder now then when i installed them is beyond me. im checking my lifters this week since they r 90k old.
