WG actuator selection: 17psi vs 22psi

On very rear occasions I press "New Thread" button, google is my friend, although I need your advice this time, guys...

My aim is steady 22psi (1.5 bar) boost. Currently I'm running stock 0.8 bar WG actuator, EBC and good JDM Evo9 BOV. Let's say there are no leaks in my turbo/IC system. The result of current setup is slightly more than 22psi just after spool up, then it holds desired 1.5 bar (22psi), but after ~5000rpm boost drops till 1.3 bar.
I know it's not quite bad, but I am looking for perfection and looking for improvements.

My question is: which actuator (17 vs 22 psi) would help me the best?
What can I expect from 22psi actuator, how big overboost would be?
Maybe someone has similar experience?

honestly unless your gonna run race gas or e85...i wouldnt put a 22 psi actuator on your turbo...reason why your wastegate wont crack open till 22 psi...which means everythin would have to be changed in the ecu reguading wgdc, etc... now your gonna have taper with stock turbo you cant get around it, they run out of steam so to speak in higher rpms, hell you can peak 30 psi, and your gonna taper at least 5 psi... now if your tryin to hold more boost with what you have, look into crankin down the wastegate arm a turn or two...then experiment but save that 22psi wastegate actuator for a bigger turbo fp red green bbk etc... then youll get the full benefit of havin it.

I'm running on E85 or 98RON (euro) gas, but this has absolutely nothing with my questions, let's stay on topic
My question was about WGA selection, as I don't want to preload my stock WGA.

The larger actuator will decrease your spool time and increase your mid rang torque. Your over boost will be brief and slight. Tuning the car to deal with a consistent spike in the mid range is an easy compensation. Dealing with creep as you approach redline can be hazardous if you are tuning on the fuel limitations.

Since you are having trouble maintaining boost, I don't see a creep issue happening. At this point running the 22psi actuator will feel like you put a new turbo on the car. I do not believe it will put your out of your pump gas limitations.

SRT4 and STI/WRX incur the same issues and solve them the same way.

Don't jump on people tring to help you, The knowledge you were given was to explain why you should hold off but again on a EBC unless you got a real exspensive one you will tapper. The Greddy Profec II will taper as its basicly a Electronic manual and the AEM Tru Boost. You want a EBC that will hold your level get the HKS EVC 6 with easy writer software and also a 25 psi WGA as they dont make 22psi and FP has 18psi and 25psi WGA for IX turbos and also the VIII with 10.5 Hotside can use the IX WGA. I am on the 18psi WGA and hold 27 out the door in 3rd gear and also 28 in 4th-6th.
