Yes they will I am certain this is true.

DSPORT tested them and they made more power than Kelford 272 and GSC S2.

Hey Mike, sorry for digging up an old thread but Id love to hear your thoughts (or anyone else's on here for that matter) on the Tomei PONcam 260s with the 10.2/10.7mm lift vs the Tomei 270 PROcams with 11.5mm lift all round.

I have some people telling me to go with the 260s as the 270s will be too laggy and the stock cylinder head cannot take advantage of the full 11.5mm lift, and then I have some telling me to go with the 270s because the 260s aren't even worth my time.

I own an Evo 8, so take into account there is no MIVEC and I don't get that earlier spool/power down low. I have almost every bolt on mod so:
- Upgraded Plazmaman IC core with custom made IC piping, intake pipe etc
- Bigger injectors and fuel pump etc.
- Full 3" exhaust
- 712GTP turbo (turbo from here in Australia, very similar to an FP green). Flow rate of about 54lb/min.
- SME motorsport ported exhaust manifold
- I have GSC springs, retainers, valve stem seals, the whole lot all ready to go on the car.

The last thing to choose from is the cams. Really struggling to decide what to go with out of the Poncams vs Procams. Still a stock block 2L.

Bear in mind I'm not really chasing numbers and huge HP figures. It's a street car with the occasional hill climb, and so I am looking for responsiveness and good torque in low to mid range rpm. The high end HP numbers do not phase me as such...

I understand that if I was chasing purely low-mid range power then the 260s would be ideal for me. But I'm wondering if with the larger turbo and ported exhaust manifold, if the 270s would be an ideal upgrade and not cause me to lose too much responsiveness/be too laggy in the lower RPMs..?
