Great test! I love that you took the time to do this.

Also keep in mind that intake temperatures is only part of the equation....another thing to look at is the air pressure around the filter element to see if there is a difference between having the snorkle there (with no box) or not. You want a high pressure area of cold air around the intake filter.

Great JOB!

why not do a virtual dyno comparison to see that if those 10* actually make a difference?

I'd suggest reading up on compressor efficiency and wonder no more.

The intake tubes? Neither would work on my car, as I have an 84mm FP Black.

Damn lol. Wondering if its worth keeping the Perrin over the stock

I too kept the snorkel on my car. I like the idea of it supplying air to the filter

Great job! Very cool to see the results of this! A few weeks ago while I was at the track I noticed similar results when I was swapping between two open air filters, one with a heat shield and the other without. I was actually pretty surprised at how much the heat shield seemed to help keep intake air temps. down. I'll try to post the results of that in a different thread if I get around to it.

Nice test Boosted! I ran the snorkel on my car till swapping to a straight outlet radiator, otherwise I would still be running it. I look at it as every little bit helps. I really want to do the head light mod and make a custom air box. Looking forward to your MBC test sir...

I recently took mine off and mounted a mbc there. After this I may put it back on. Thanks for the test!
