Arrow Difference between these head gaskets

Anybody know what the difference is in the two OEM head gasket p/n #

MN155760 and 1005A700 ? I know one is for 05-06 and 02-05 but besides that I want to know the technical difference between the gaskets, like different compression rings or something...anyone know?
Thanks

One has the holes for mivec and one does not.

I stand corrected.

I take it back I thought the oil line was in the head but its not.

I did a little digging the mivec head gasket is essentially the same but a little thicker. just a FYI.

True, I remember looking at my friend's evo 9 motor today and saw the metal oil line from the filter housing going up to the head area for it. Figured it still used it for something but guess not.

You said you did some digging, can you link me where you found that info?
Thanks

here is a compare i did against an evo6 gasket

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...eadgasket.html

it was my understanding that evo8 was 4 layer, and the evo9 is 5layer.

the evo 9 gasket is thicker, iirc ~1.2mm, iirc 5 layers

evo 8 iirc ~0.8mm, iirc 3 or 4 layers

if you put a 9 on a 8 head/block, there are 2 holes you need to punch out of the 9 hg to make the water passages of the evo8.

as stated in my thread, i measured an evo9 gasket with a micrometer.
evo9 gasket is 0.9mm thick. (5 layer)
evo6 gasket is 0.62mm thick (3layer).

I have both of these at home right now if you want me to double/triple check them.
The water system in both heads are identical. I dont know why the water holes are different.
