James, My friend had an evo 8 with thr profec and experienced the same thing. He replaced a part in the boost controller system and it fixed it. I will try to find out what it was and try to get back to you.

is the e-boost controller new? or used?
Exactly what you hv describe and my e-controller is about 2 yrs old now...

Will truly appreciate if you could help me...

Thanks

1. greddy profec b spec II is a very good ebc, I've used it for so many year before I switch to ecu boost control.

2. 3076R is a slow response turbo, why would you even go with that turbo? never heard of bigger turbo has turbo lag? I bet a stock 9 turbo with bolt on can walk your setup. you should've look into a hks 7460R or bbk

So any updates?? I think a good tune will fix all the issues your experiencing. The 30r is a great turbo dont worry you didnt waste 3k on nothing

Not to say the gt3076r is a bad turbo & cannot make power ...
There are lots of thing to consider ...
How big is the exhaust housing 0.63,0.82 or even 1.06 ...
What is your engine 2.0,2.1,2.2,2.3 or even 2.4L ..
How much boost are you running ...
What type of fuel are you using ...
In Malaysia .. we only have ron97(highest ron) & we usually don't run boost over 2bar ...
We also don't use meth or E85 which is better for turbo cars ...
Here a gt3076r new is about rm4000 while a HKS 7460r will cost an arm & a leg ..

If you and your tuner have checked out the lines for your controller and they are fine then I am not sure.

Are your running on 3 cyclinders! not to be funny... it really sounds like a bad turbo then. did u buy the turbo new or used. compressor wheel is bad????maybe

did you fix your setup? with a good tuner you could safely run 1.8 - 2 bar. goodluck.

Well i think ive to live with what i got now....Maybe is due to the turbo downpipe as its quite cramp on turbine connect to the exhaust pipe.

Your downpipe is 2.5" or 3" ?
If its 2.5" ... try changing it to 3" ...
Definitely will help your power & torque output ...
