Interesting article on oil viscosity vs fuel economy .

Hi all , I notice a lot of oil threads here at Evom and since I've been doing a lot of oil searches I thought this spiel may interest a few of you .
It appears to be about the manufacturers choosing fuel economy numbers over engine longevity and reliability in adverse conditions .
Not surprisingly it seems to be driven by government legislation which is pushed upon us by the green movement .

Enjoy .

Winter here in Oz ATM and its making me think a good 10W40 would be better than the 15W50 I was using befoe the diesel oil flush went in .

More on that later , cheers A .
