Horrible rattle above 3750 RPM
Okay so about a month ago I installed cosworth m2 cams and new springs. In the process of pressurizing the cylinder in order to change the valve springs I forgot to put the car in 1st gear and it turned the motor over. So long story short we are taking all the covers off of the timing belt to put the engine back in time and in order to get to a certain bolt on a pulley we decided to lower the motor a little on that side. We got it all in time and back together and now i have this mean rattle at 3500 rpm and up that gets even worse when I let off the throttle at this higher rpm. I had a helix downpipe on the car that appeared to be rubbing the subframe and oil pan so i changed it out with another used one from a friend that was cheap and I could bang into shape to determine if this in fact is the culprit of my rattle. Well it is still there and its getting annoying. The only other thing that I think could be it could be that my gtspec exhaust manifold got bent in the process... Before anyone asks I have had the car up on a lift and had someone rev it with me under to listen and it is definitely exhaust rattle. I am just looking for some input as it is kind of hard to retune with the knock sensor going insane when it hears the noise. Thanks in advance.

Its not the balance shaft off a tooth. What they are saying is that the oil pump is 180 out from the balance shaft. All your marks can be 100% lined up and still be 180 out
Easy to check through the inspection hole on from of block. If it is out the timing belt needs to come off and oil pump sprocket needs to be turned 360 so that it is now in phase.
