You will run 9s on the green in a full Evo. IMO nothing on the market is better than the green hta all around.

When Curt says it, take it to the bank.

Also, assume that, on your best day, your results will be at least 10% lower than Curt's,

i understand a bbk-b is maybe slightly bigger then a fp red if not the same. comparing apples to oranges here. the hta green spools quick as hell.
I've seen 500 on HTA Green but a lot of them, if not, all are E85. Some are still on stock block. I was planning on building my block with BR Manley pistons that are 10:1 compression. Don't know if the compression will make that much of a difference though but I like using what's been proven before and Buschur's blocks use these pistons and have been proven. With 10:1, does it make it more plausible to hit 500 on 93?

hitting 500 on a hta green will be tough and require some major parts to make it happen. we are not talking about baby/basic mods here. You will be going all out unless your on e85 of course. As stated it will be easier/cheaper to just go fp red or fp black. the higher compression will help your power gains. going larger then 2.0 will help your spool but you will loose out when it comes to higher rpms.

why do have to hit 500 do you win a prize if you do? Numbers are great and all, I had goals in mind when I did my build but I would be more concerned about how the car drives then a magical number.

a built 2L with
good cams
good intake manifold & 65mm tb
good boost control
aftermarket exhaust manifold
o2 dump
3" tbe
good 3.5" fmic
good clutch
fuel mods, bov, icp, etc.

if the exhaust manifold will go 15whp or more over a ported stocker you may have yourself the 500 on 93 right there.. it just really depends..

hitting 500 on 93 with a fp green hta will definitely require some wanting
on a 2L engine.

if you go with a 2.3L or anything with more displacement you will hit it easily on 93oct.

thats my opinion on the situation.
