2 stroke evo

So i was contemplating the idea of if one were to run a lean mix of 2 stroke in their car and had a tune for that .Like e85. What I could not find is any info on this being used on the evo or for performance gains only people using some for the upper cylinder lubrication.I however have found this brought up on other car forums but thought it might make for some conversation. It looks like it would decreases detonation as well as act as upper cylinder / valve stem lubricant possibly .Of course you might not want to run this everyday as the oil might seperate from the fuel but in a ran out of gas situation I have seen two stroke used to get someones car to the gas station.

oil in combustion increases detonation.

There is specific top lube for alcohol motors that you can use in VERY small concentration. We have found it be unneeded on E85 and only possibly needed with E98. I think we are one of the few shops that runs cars on E98-E100 on a daily basis without top lube and so far so good.

I disagree . Oil is harder to ignite than gasoline thus making it less likely to detonate. I don't understand how you came to that conclusion.

oil burns hotter. increases combustion temps. carbon build up is greatly increased as well.

I wonder if its detonation resilience would outweigh the increase in temperature it makes during combustion .is there an increase in carbon build up in actual 2 stroke engines compared to 4 stroke ? I don't believe the carbon build up would be an issue.

The guys on Bobistheoilguy.com use 2-stroke oil in there gas all the time, It's a Veryy lean mixture like 550ish:1? or something. They say use 1 ounce for every 5 gallons but I havent seen anything bad about it, I would assume helps lube the fuel pumps, o-rings, and help act as a coating in anything metal like the gas tank to prevent rust too. Supposedly Marvel Mystery Oil aka MMO also works good too.

Here's one thread I found quick about it, the 2 stroke oil has to be TCW3 rated though

Yea I have found threads like that. I wonder if a slightly richer mixture could be used as a fuel for racing with its own tune / dual maps To act as a high octane fuel since the oil in the fuel raises the fuels octane rating while still providing the lubrication benefits etc.

Well I guess once my engine build is complete might have to possibly find out for myself.
