But the tap test is the way to diagnose it or if you have an oscilloscope you can apply power to the MAF and blow air trough it and see if its registering the frequency correctly.

So it could be one of the main three parts are not working the mirror is too dirty, the light source is not efficient or the transistor is bad.

Ok I went a little too much in detail there !

Why thank you for that haha! Lol I refer to it as being a heater, but yeah I recall spraying the crap out of it and later read that It shouldn't be touched.

I used electric parts cleaner at first, cause the maf cleaner says don't use on karman mafs but lots of guys on here had luck with it.

I used the CRC cleaner a few weeks ago and mine is working fine since. I wonder if the cleaner
messes up the mirror film so it does not reflect light properly.

We should have a small get together someplace for the WNY guys.

Mine had 85k on it so probably was gonna be shot regardless.

It got really bad today where car wanted to stall several times. I had to keep moving the maf so It wouldn't cut out.

Got the new maf and so far hopefully it's well, just have to adjust idle cause I believe that old maf screwed up the idle.

How about the STM meet on July 10th. I think some locals are setting up a cruise.

Need Timing belt soon( like 30k ago!! ) Breaks rotors and pads and caliper painted, AC just died on me today( gas is full) And it has tons of chips and dings.
