What motor oil should i use?eagle rods, wiseco pistons, fs635 turbo
i burned 3 oem turbos in the past, I have no idea why
so finally i got a:
-fp oil feed line from the filter housing
-BR turbo kit fs635
-lower end is built
should i get amsoil 10w40? any better ideas? to protect the turbo and internals?
thank you

I use 10w-30 Valvoline VR1 in the Evo and 20w-50 in the Talon.

The additive package is very important. High zinc and phosphorus are the important components to look for to keep your motor and turbo properly lubricated.
The zinc and phosphorus additives were removed from most street oils due to emissions effects a few years ago. You can only get high levels in oils that are specified for "off-road" type use.

Not quite true.
Amsoil makes a good product, but as you can see from reading the FP chart, a large number of their oil types are NOT recommended (just as the other manufacturers) because they do not have the additive package that includes the high zinc and phosphorus additives.
The ONLY recommended oils are the ones with the high zinc and phosphorus additives That's where you start. After that, you can pick the oil supplier of your preference, so long as they offer an oil with those additives.
