I have the HKS Carbon TI on my VIII right now and i love the sound of it and i also have a DP/TP that makes it sound even better....i get compliments on it all the time!!

 

Here's what it sounds like with AMS.. sounds decent at a stand still.. but whole under full boost sounds a lot different.

I have owned the megan and the hks. The megan is louder for sure. I personally like it more than the hks.

 

you were right about it sounding like crap
my ams exhaust doesnt sound anything like that, and all the built motors I have heard don't sound like that either such as buschur 2.0 and 2.3, and map 2.3 and 2.4

 

My point exactly... Lol o well this pic of crap sounding evo rides tfo.... But just wann mak it more humble sounding. Not like I'm about to cut my grass

 

The Megan is the best soud

 

First let me say you should have NEVER put Megan Racing in the same catigory as AMS and HKS! I have had both of the AMS and the HKS on 2 different Evos and I personally liked the HKS better! I would recommend the HKS Ti and to deffenetly stay away from the Megan!

For anyone out there that swears by Megan Racing and feel like thier feelings got hurt by my opinion "I dont care so dont PM me complaining"

Edit: The reason I got rid of the Megan was I had an accident and it got smashed, I then bought the AMS with insurance money.

 

Had a Megan with a resonator and IMO, it sounds like every other Evo out there with an eBay exhaust or HKS. Now, I got a Magnaflow N1 style CBE with same resonator and it sounds beasty. The deep rumble when it idles all the way to how it screams at WOT.

Holy cow that is raspy in the high RPMs.

 

Why should you stay away from a Megan exhaust again?

 

There is no reason. Likely cause Megans parts are cheaper and he feels like he only wants to buy overpriced parts for his car.

You will not have issues with the Megan exhaust. 100's of EVOs on this forum alone make big power with it.

That's not the one with the resonated pipe correct? Mine is much deeper and has more growl to it than that video
