Tomioka Racing TD06-20G
Anyone ever heard anything about this turbo? I came across it on MAP's website. I ran a google search as well as on here and didn't come up with much information outside of EDOperformance promoting it with little information. If this thing really has the TD06 wheel, it should be promising. Again, anyone have any info on this? Any vendor with info?

I don't know about this turbo specifically, but I know the 20g is an oldschool turbo. People used to run them on DSMs and they never seemed to be very efficient. They were laggy, had crappy oil seals, and just weren't as promising as they seemed.
as for that specific turbo though, no idea... Maybe they've improved. Doubt it though.

Same thing goes for your turbos. Once I see that they are holding true I will hop on board.

The 20g-IX turbo is nothing new they have been configured by various companies over the years in 5 and 6 blade configs.
I had one way back when the turbochargers.com one. Made more power than the stock IX so...
That said I wouldn't buy now a days with the stock frame options available. Though I sure as hell wouldn't buy a $2500 stock frame turbo either I don't care if it's neon purple

450 on your dyno running e85. Not impressive, hence the reason for my recommendation. If it spools similar to a green or BBK full, then just buy a green or a BBK and call it a day. Our motors are a 15+ year old design, don't limit your turbo design to that time frame either.

You skipped over the "great value" part of my quote lol, I believe these turbos will make 10% more than a stock Evo 9 with similar spool and come in at $1200. For an Evo 8 owner on a budget there's not much else out there. Our EF1 upgrade would be a great option for those that already have an Evo 9 turbo though.
With that said, a few weeks ago I purchased a Kando Dynamics TD06SL2 20g. It came with install kit, an 18psi wastegate actuator, and 3in surge ported compresssor cover. While doing some research, I found out that the compressor and turbine wheels measure in exactly the same as the Tomei ARMS turbo. Also, it seems that people and shops all over the world are using the Kando internal parts and turbine housings in their own fabrications. I will install it next week and will post back in this thread with my thoughts.
