AMS Intercooler With Stock Coupler?

AMS Intercooler With Stock Coupler?

-Hi does anybody know if the version 1 AMS intercooler will fit with the stock couplers and piping on an Evo IX?

-Also will bolting this intercooler on mess up my current tune bad enough where I shouldn't go WOT until I get a retune. (current mods are in my sig.) Thanks!

i would have the car retuned after any additional engine Mod

i have installed the version 1 on the evo 9 using the same stock couplers

Will the boost increase or decrease on WOT?

the main effect its going to have on the tune is AFR.

Ok thanks. Ill just keep a close eye on my wideband for the time being until I get a retune.

no problem. i also meant to say

if its a larger fmic it will most likely taper off boost quicker then your current causing a slight rich mixture. it really depends on the fmic though. when i swapped a perrin for a 3.8" garrett core my car ran much richer due to the boost taper that was introduced.

but forgot to paste it in.
