This is how I felt too... but I do respect John's word, as he knows his stuff. Am at ends about this one though. I feel like the Kelfords murder the S1's and are on the same level as the S2's, On an Evo 8, on the 9's are a different story, as Kelford just brought over the 8's cam without doing many changes.. which is why the S2's murder the Kelfords on the Evo 9's. Gsc is constantly improving their older cams, and it paid off with their Mivec cams.

 

yeah everyone has the own preferences but i for sure dont beleive s1s are anywere in the same class as kelford 272s on an 8. id compare s1s to the old hks 272s lol

 

Agree'd ... that's what's coming out of the car is the HKS 272's.

 

lol all those cam choices are nice another cam people forget to mention are the fp 4rs. Bada$$ cams as well. so if you have to pick a cam for evo 8s then

evo9 i would say all the same but i would not get kelford 272 for a 9 as john mention i have seen where they cause phantom knock.
