Moly lube for ARP's Question

So I blew a head gasket on my car and will be replacing it tomorrow. Just wondering if I should remove the arp studs out of the block to put some arp moly on the threads or should I just leave them in and apply the lube to the nuts and washers? That and I was wondering what you guys recommend torquing the arp's to? Ive read lots of different threads and the answers seem to vary. I think my head gasket was damaged in the first place due to the head lifting. I am running a hta 3586 at around 30psi. Should I torque the arp's to more then the 80ft/lb recommended by arp??

Since your head will be off the car, go ahead and put the lube on the threads etc like recommended.

Realisitcally you should never use a different torque spec then what is reccomended by the manufacturer... in this case ARP. They give specific torque requirments based on the clamp load needed and the grease type used. This is also why various lubricants (moly vs 30w oil) have different torque ratings, as the clamp load stays the same the tightening friction changes with lube.

Over torquing can lead to many bad things, the softer materials can begin to yeild.
