Does my clutch fork look right?

I noticed that my clutch fork doesn't look like it's centered, also notice with the clutch depressed fully the fork hits the bell housing.

Heres a pic with the clutch not touched:

Thanks

Looks like your TOB is not locked in all the way.

Take off the slave cylinder, unlock the TOB and re Lock it.

What could have happened if you just had the trans out is the metal collar clip where TOB locks into is bents or popped off half way. To fix it you need to remove the trans.

Bump.

I'm being told by the shop whom installed the clutch that this is normal?

AFAIK this is not normal, my clutch is drags and disengagement sucks no matter how much the pedal is adjusted.

This is a HD pressure plated sprung ACT 6 puck with streetlite flywheel.

I would agree with the above accessment, it looks as though it is not fully locked into the clutch hub. The fork should sit further back then that at rest.

Sir I was agreeing with you that I knew the fork isn't sitting in the correct position.

I basically wasted $ at this shop. Ya live and learn I guess.

Yes exactly, which is how it sat with the old clutch too. It used to sit center, which is where it's supposed to be. Just hate it when a shop owner thinks your stupid and will listen to what you say.

Go to a different shot that knows EVO retarded throw out bearing

Get it documented and get receipt.

Ask for refund to cover repair.

If denied file with small claims court.

Good Luck

Thank you. I'm not going to anymore shops, this is the primary reason why I have avoided shops. If I don't know you personally, you won't be touching my car.
This place is a Evo shop too.

No court needed, just a good shoe to the a$$ of a lesson.

On a good note it might be as easy as removing the slave cylinder and pushing the fork into the hub if you're lucky. If not, you might have to remove the tranny again and figure out why the hub isn't holding the clip or the clip isn't holding the fork.
