Boost Leak Tester for HTA Green With 84mm cover

wondering what you guys use for boost leak testing with this turbo with the 84mm cover. i am ideally looking to mimick the below but unfortunately pvc does not exist in 2.5 inch diameter which is what i would need to make this work with the fp intake pipe (silicone pipe). looking for ideas or what you guys are using. ideally would like to attach the boost leak tester to the intake fp intake pipe directly as opposed to the turbo inlet

How about this...contact them and make sure its for the larger compressor housing...I'm pretty positive it is though since it works with the FP Black...

I was able to find a rubber reducer that I used with a smaller pvc attachment at Lowe's to attach directly to the inlet housing.

well if im not mistaken arent the couplers for the 84mm pipe right about 3" diameter? if thats the case look for a 3" straight coupler, and i believe pvc is also available in a 3" diameter, you just need the end cap.

The end caps are a tad smaller than 3" but if you use a t-bolt it will squeeze down...

I also don't get y you would rather connect it to the intake instead of just the turbo I mean the intake never sees pressure so y pressurize it doing the test? Do you just not feel like taking it off?

yes i figured if there was a product in existence that could pressure test from the intake pipe it would be easier especially given that i do not have a heated garage and it gets frigid cold in nh so would be a quick and i dont know how many times i have dropped a socket on to the under tray and had to fish around for it

ok so would you recommend the 3.25 inch size so there is some wiggle room?
