Ever seen what a t-bolt clamp can do to an aluminum pipe? Injen IC piping comes to mind. A friend of mine finally had to ditch the Injen piping after the T-bolt clamp had finally tore it up enough to where it was no longer usable. IMO, higher HP applications are better off using steel intercooler piping.

Well aluminum would be cheaper as well. Also the high hp applications are going to need a t bolt clamp and like pegasus said it will bend the piping. I had aluminum piping on a car I had and I just put a nice bead on it where the clamp went over the coupler. That way you didn't have to tighten it so tight. Never blew a pipe once.

in all honesty those that are bringing up weight between SS and alumnium, put your fat *** on a diet, there ya go theres the weight saving differences, i mean our cars arent heavy, so the difference between SS and aluminum maybe 10 lbs between the uicp and licp, ive got SS uicp and an aluminum licp, and im waitin for my retune to swap on my 3.5 ets ic and licp which is also SS, the heat reduction imo doesnt outweight the weight savings.

Well to my amazement the opinion is out. They should NOT offer aluminum. I dont see the point in not having more options but I wont argue with the masses! Factory IC pipes are aluminum. No? Any one ever had a problem (except loss of power) with those? And to who ever it was who said to go on a diet I agree! Only issue with me is im 6'3" and weigh 172lbs. How much ya want me to loose? And Aluminum is half the weight of Titanium and Titanium is half the weight of Stainless. I say thats a pretty big weight savings! Half the weight of anything is awesome! If i could have the weight of the car i would!!! And to be honest our cars are Heavy!!! What are you talking about!
None the less the word is out! They should not and defiantly will not after seeing this ever offer Aluminum! No argument from me!
