Can I switch from speed density back to stock maf?
Well Im about to trade my ff kit for a stock-ish kit and the guy still has his stock maf setup. I just wanted to know if its possible for us to just swap so he can have my speed density setup and I can have his stock maf setup? If so, what will we need to swap from my car to his car? He's supposed to be doing the swap tomorrow and somehow neither of us caught this and thought to ask the question until now lol. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

so i would have to trade ecu's with whoever i trade with if their setup is stock? I'm starting to think that I should just keep my setup to save the hassle lol

you should not swap ecu's with each other. That would be a terrible idea. If you do chances are great that your car is going to run like garbage because modifications other then turbos influenced the tune. so unless your swapping every part that could influence that tune, cams, IM, IC, TB so on and so forth, your car will be running unsafe.

If you change parts that affect the fuel or air usage of the car you are going to need to tune.
All you will need is a reputable tuner to either adjust your SD tune for your new stock setup or to make a new tune based off using a MAF. Either way any reputable tuner should be able to help you.
So basically you don't have to use the MAF, if you don't want to, on your new setup. Since you are already configured for SD it would not be hard to simply adjust your tune for the new setup etc.

time is a factor due to distance and me moving away from the state in a week. the only reason this swap wouldn't have worked, is due to the radiator swap, his IAT SD sensor is in his UICP and i would need it to swap the radiators. otherwise i could have made it work. either way, glws ramon, someone will ****** this kit up quick. if you still have it in a month's time when i get settled back in-in indiana then hit me up!
