Wedge Collar Stuck?

i'm in the process of installing my new transmission and my wedge collar looks like it stuck in the compressed position. i'm looking at it through the inspection hole and it's compressed. i hooked the slave cylinder back up and had my girlfriend press the clutch and it seems like it's operating normally.

it's supposed to look like this:

any idea on what i should do? i might just say F*** it and just get a new clutch. i put this clutch in last October, but i dont really care much for it anyway.

Does the clutch fork move if you move it by hand?

very slightly. i actually just popped the TOB off and inspected the wedge collar. looks like it's actually broken. i guess i'm just gonna get a new clutch. i'm just glad i inspected it before putting everything back together. i just gotta take the trans mount off and unbolt the trans and it'll drop out.
