I would like to boost the oil that my turbo sees including a filter if economical enough, but honestly, between the just rebuilt turbo with over a 1000 dollars plus into it, 250 is not in my budget for a little while. I understand FP gives you everything you need in the kit at a convienence .. but is there any home brew kits out there?

please avoid stating "if you did 1000, whats 250 more?".. I could build a supply line from jegs possibly?

Can you not get a sandwich plate and run an oil line directly from that as it will always have realy good oil pressure there as its just after the oil filter??

From what i understoof the FP kits were just that with all the lines and fitting etc

FP kit uses a port already existing on teh stock oil filter housing. If you want some amusement, read the isntall instructions from FP, gotta love those guys! If I knew what thread the filter housing is, the AN-4 filter inline is $37 @ STM which is about an hour and a half from me, they also have the lines etc. just gotta get a couple small pieces.

I was going to run a feed line from the oil pressure sensor under the intake manifold with a 1/4 npt t-fitting as I've seen plenty on Hondas do but I was unsure of how much stress it would take sticking the sensor 3" from the block with a brass t-fitting. I ended up buying a new MAP oil line with filter from a forum member and will buy the extra piece needed later on.

So I now have 2 never used SS braided oil lines I can sell. I believe they are 18" and 36".

You will need a 3/8 bspt to 1/4 JIC adapter to run a -4an line.

Ok, I have been looking around and I have two last questions:

Do I need a restrictor of any sorts to run oil off of the filter housing for the turbo?

Is the turbo m10x1.25 correct?

heres what I have so far, the only thing I dont have is the oil housing adapter.

Not familiar with 3/8bspt, so I gotta do a little more lookin

Looks like it could be done cheaper, but at the same time my quick list here is half of what FP wants! youre just roped in to using the FP line if youre worried about thier particular debris warranty... kind of ehhh

After you get everything together and are sure all of the parts are correct you should write a how to with all of the part numbers, because I was thinking of doing this myself and I am sure a few others are as well.

Anyone know where to get the 3/8 bspt? Or would using the prosport sandwich adapter provide oil enough?

I have had some leaky experiences in the past with oil filter sandwich adapters and would never run one again on any car of mine. So, personally, I would only consider taking the feed directly from the existing factory housing outlet port.

I can't find the bspt to an -4 straight fitting. Fp sells a 90° but that won't work as well
